Rue St. Vincent

If you continue through Lake Park you will come to a set of "nature" trails. These trails lead over bridge above Ravine Rd. and you come out near a large white restaurant. You will most definately recognize it. I strolled around hoping to get some audio of people talking. I over heard some music playing through the speaker system on the outside of the entrance. I began recording. Thankfully it ended rather quick. I didn't realize that I was in plain view of all the patrons with my arm raised in the air. Make sure your somewhat concealed if you go here.

Drain You

Next I made my way into Lake park hoping to record some sound of wildlife, but my attempts were not rewarded. I came across a storm drain and wondered what it would sound like if I put my mics into the drain. So I did. This was near the entrance to Lake Park located on Lake Dr right after the fork in the path.

For Whom the Bell Tolls

The next sound that came to my ears was the only life I heard that day. It was on the corner of Marietta and Linnwood that I heard these birds. Unfortunately I couldn't pin point their location, but I was lucky because I caught the 1 o'clock bell toll from the church.

It's My Aeroplane

I started my Drift on the corner of Kenwood and Marietta. The sound that I recorded isn't exclusive to the area, but I heard it and decided to record it. It is simply an airliner flying over head.
Listen to the sound here.
In case the map is a little difficult to read, here is a different map courtesy of Google Maps. I will post this on every post from here on out.

Stratagem for Drifts

The strategy I chose for the drift was pretty simple. I wanted a constant change up so I changed it up quite often. What I did was use a quarter and designate which side was which direction. For me it was Heads=Right and Tails=Left. I tried not to move fast through an area either. I thought that it would be best to move slow and take in all the sounds I could with my ears in one area until I moved onto the next just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I feel that the constant change kept my ears at attention so I could eventually pick out small sounds quickly from the rest of the dominant noise.
